For years, I tried to get my family to eat more veggies. My husband loathes broccoli and Swiss chard. My grown daughter eats dessert before meals. More than occasionally! And when my teenage daughter was a toddler, she wouldn’t eat green candy. It looked suspiciously vegetable-like!
When I baked pumpkin bread, I added some extra pumpkin (easy peasy). They gobbled it up, and the idea for Farm&Oven was born.
Mom was right. Eating veggies is good for you.
5 veggies a day. That’s what the healthiest people get. Every. Single. Day. Most of us are trying to eat more veggies. But 91% of us don’t get enough. (Weird that we don’t have that deficiency with brownies and muffins. ;)
The recipes for Farm&Oven are based on old-fashioned zucchini brownies and muffins, carrot cake and pumpkin bread. And like those goodies, our bakery bites have that lovely dense, soft texture.
