When I was a single mom, I felt super lonely on Valentine’s Day and like something was wrong with me.
I developed a broader definition of the love that we celebrate mid-February. I have so much love and respect for YOU. I’ve been raising kids for 35 years, and I’m not done yet! I know motherhood. The melting tenderness and immense love. The sheer terror when they do something on their own for the first time. And the quiet self-congratulations when someone compliments you on your kids’ manners. ( 2 out of 3 ain’t bad.)
I started Farm&Oven to be helpful to other moms. Some days I feel like I carry a bunch of needy people on my left shoulder. Are these things in your job description? Chef, chauffeur, wardrobe consultant, nurse, therapist, dish washer, tantrum placater...
Two things I know after all these years:
All month long we have a promotion running on our social media channels titled “Broccoli Opera.” A place for you to share your child’s most powerful performances about their hatred of all things green. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook to learn more. Essentially it’s a way for me to say, “Yes, mamas! I feel your pain!
Also, as my gift to you this Valentine’s Day, please try my Chocolate Lovers packs! The soft-baked mini-muffins are full of the good stuff, delicious good chocolate chunks and tons of hidden veggies. It feels like an indulgence, but really it’s a healthy way to give your body the nutrition it needs and deserves.
This Valentine’s Day I’m offering 30% off all of our Chocolate Lovers packs as a way to say I love you, and I love the community of moms that support my company and help it grow. Simply use code ChocolateLover at check out.

Patience, Persistence, and Play. Three words that can be applied to everything we do. Read what I’m focusing on this month and learn what grounds me every day. Hopefully it will help you, too!
