5 hacks to eating more veggies

Did you eat 5 servings of veggies yesterday? No? You're not alone. 91% of us don't eat enough vegetables.

The easiest way is to eat baby carrots. Plain. But how many baby carrots can you eat in a day? Other veggies mostly require cooking. Plus the prep and clean up five times a day? It's way too much for us.

Here are 5 ways you can eat 5 servings of veggies right away.

1. Drink a green juice

Pick up a Green Goodness from Bolthouse Farms. Get at least 1 veggie serving

2. Have baby carrots and hummus for a snack

Ignore the "is a legume a vegetable" controversy and call this one a twofer.

3. Order extra veggies on that sandwich

Go beyond the standard leaf of lettuce on that sammie and order up some tomato, red peppers, cucumber - whatever they usually put on a vegetarian sandwich.

4. Switch out the tortilla chips

Try radish slices to scoop up the yummy guac and salsa instead. (Slice the radishes lengthwise.) And speaking of salsa, that counts, too!

5. Eat dinner for breakfast

Tonight, make enough veggies + protein to have enough leftovers for tomorrow. And voila! You're at least 1 veggie serving down before the day has even really started.

And if none of this is gonna work for you, we know of some bakery bites that are loaded with 2 of your 5 daily servings of veggies! ;)
